That version number is the version of the deb package AFAIK.
Ops

Still, the RH5 system with latest TBB installed by hand does not compile.

Re: Building without Boost but with TBB on Linux fails

I just did a fresh download of Ogre 1.7.2 (I run 1.8 trunk) and was able to build with TBB3. Did you uncheck OGRE_USE_BOOST option in Cmake? Also, my setup with TBB is I built from source and did not install system-wide. Therefore I had to manually point to TBB's locations within CMake. So I didn't...

Re: Building without Boost but with TBB on Linux fails

Yes, Cmake finds the TBB library.

Edit: The same happens on Ubuntu 10.10. Ogre does not build with TBB.

Building without Boost but with TBB on Linux fails

Hi, I am trying to build Ogre 1.7.2 on a Red Hat 5.6 system using TBB 3.0 update 5. Boost is disabled. The build fails already at the very first file: [ 0%] Building CXX object OgreMain/CMakeFiles/OgreMain.dir/src/OgreAutoParamDataSource.cpp.o In file included from /data/ogre_src_v1-7-2/OgreMain/inc...

Re: New Terrain Early Shots

Nice!

How do you plan to add support for caves or dungeons into the terrain? WIll it be possible to convert the heightmap based terrain into a "real mesh"?

Thanks,

Re: CMake Linking error

Hi,

if anyone needs, I can give SSH access to a 64Bit Linux system to debug/help/test/whatever. Either gentoo or Debian.

Re: CMake build system for Cthugha *looking for testers*

On my machine, the samples are installed to /usr/local/share/OGRE/samples and /usr/local/share/OGRE/media  There are no samples installed, I am sure ;) Oh, I see there is already another thread created especially for this problem... Is there a specific reason why you link against static boost...

Re: CMake build system for Cthugha *looking for testers*

I get the same linker error on a recent Gentoo system as I have on my Debian box :(
Ideas?

Boost and threading is disabled right now. However, this does not install the samples, even if it is selected in ccmake :?:

It works now :)

Any hints how I can access the vertex data from a loaded mesh/entity? :)

Maybe it's rather your code that follows resource initialisation? You should try to track down the place where the segfault occurs, i. e. use a debugger. That way you have much higher chances to find the problem :) I tried a debugger it says it crashes in initialiseResourceGroup(). The next line af...
