DirectX 10.1 - 8800 and 2900 Cards outdated ??

Just read this funny article at http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=41577

IMHO there is too much hype about DX10!

Re: WindLight source embedded within Second Life

By being threaded and embedded as it is in the Second Life app, it is going to take a bit of detective work to extract it from Second Life and to package it into a generic tool that can render skies for Ogre apps.... if that would even be legal. If legal, it would definitely be worth it. Hmm - woul...

Irrlicht does not have a (mesh)format of its own, has no material scripts and misses so many features that we had to modify the irrlicht engi...

If you are using Ogre in DebugMode, you should check your Plugins.cfg for DebugMode! We ran into the same problem after upgrading to 1.4 using an 'old' Plugins.cfg ... - a diff on the Plugins.cfg for Debug shows: PluginFolder=. # Define plugins -Plugin=RenderSystem_Direct3D9 -Plugin=RenderSystem_GL ...

It's ONLY for rendering, not for collision detection  ... - maybe, someone
can improve the code  ..?
