still doesnt work, i downloaded the zip from the link, replaced the include/lib and dll and ran my program, it still shows two windows. i have no idea what else to try. ive tried different variations, to make it work, even found something in libsdl.org about it, but still no luck would it be possible for me to use that SDL dll for motorsport then? how would i use it also? or would i just use the same things as im using here, but just the dlls version instead? thanks

if the mesh data etc is in 1 file, is it still possible to move the objects around in the scene, or is it totally static, for example, could i have barrels that can explode or be moved (picked up or knocked over) etc in the scene?

ah thanks, it now compiles and i have input, but its i have the two windows that is mentioned in the tutorial, but i cant see y i have them, i have all the code that is in the tutorial

is there something that ive missed? i cant see what that is

thanks for ur reply

ive got the code in my program but i get loads of errors from it, im not sure, but it seems like it doesnt know about SDLs functions etc ive added the include and lib paths to VC++ 2003 and have got #include "SDL.h" at the top of the code, is there anything else i need to do?

using SDL with ogre

hi, ive tried to use SDL with ogre, but i cant work out how to use it, ive looked through the docs on libsdl.org etc but to no success

could any1 give a small tutorial on how to use keyboard/mouse input from sdl with ogre, or is there a better input library that i could use?

i think the main thing that is confusing me now, is in the instructions, it says add the dependancies, how do i do this?

also, where are msvcp71[d].dll and msvcr71[d].dll and ReferenceAppLayer.dll

well, i dont really want to build ogre, id rather just use the prebuilt sdk, which is what theyre there for? right?

and surely, OGRE cant just use any SDK, cos things change etc
