Its probably due to the GUI (very CEGUI intensive, not good for older machines). There is a new Particle Editor around that uses 'external' forms called Particle Accelerator, give that a go.

OT: Looking bad for the bad guys

Not Ogre related, but in the arena of Peer to Peer and DRM discussed in these parts before, check this:

About the ControllerManager from the API: This class is responsible to keeping tabs on all the Controller instances registered and updating them when requested. It also provides a number of convenience methods...

We could even fine tune it Borat style and make it:

Brilliant stuff JohnJ, this is really a fantastic ogre addon. Once your fading/transitioning work is done, and with some fancy art assests, this will be Ogre's answer to the worlds of Oblivion and Far Cry.

From this "stop betajaen going bald" place: Aah, that must be why your avatar is sporting that rather fetching head gear. Cos I'd hate to think you were just simply getting into the Christmas spirit, that would be inappropriate and overkill. On-topic: Loving all your beta* work man, keep it up :)

I love how you can instantly turn the back end of your vehicle into a ramp and launch the tailgaters off the track :)

Personally I disagree with syedhs, the steering is just fine - like any new racing game it takes a while to master the controls. Otherwise where's the challenge?

By the looks of some of these names, Sinbad definately considers the pronunciation difficulty as a factor when choosing which one to use.

Wouldnt it be fantastic if there was an affordable license aimed at the indie developer?! Not sure how that would work, but that would be sweeeet. Either way, congrats!

Just a clarification, the entity name must be unique, so if you used
createEntity( "entity" , NodeMesh);
you would get an error after creating the second item.
