Which is best

Post by Excubitor »

I'm going to try to use code blocks and my question is this, is it better to compile with the visual C++ toolkit or to use GCC? (Advantages/disadvantages).

Also, is there a big problem if I decide to change compiler mid project?

IMO on Windows the VC 2003 toolkit is better. This is mainly because whenever I use it, mingw produces monstrously large binaries, something like double the size of the ones VC creates. There might be some options I'm not using (I very rarely use mingw) but that puts me right off.
