Fun thread! For those of you who used or tried to use one of the renderers/engines from the title, what are the pros/cons to those projects? Of course, feel free to add other projects to the comparison.
Just a Sunday thread so no hating please!

you can find deep comparison of ogre3d 1.x vs OSG here http://scrawl.bplaced.net/blog/?p=442
i took a sneak peek at godot and uroh3d...
i was'nt much impressed by godot demos but as i understand from other forums there's more then meets the eye to that engine
with uroh3d i got the impression that it has one of the cleanest designs and api - which makes it very friendly...
under-hood it's inpired by ogre so it has about the same features...its like if you've packed ogres with its most popular plugins and a friendly api...
i did'nt see any demos with it...but the build-in scene editor is horrible....
being a "full game engine" has its strength and weakness, but i fear that trying to compete with unreal/unity is getting harder by the minute...
ogre on the other hand is "just a renderer" and i think that's its greatness...allowing ogre team to concentrate on creating the best renderer
while inviting other devs( community ) to fill in the gaps as they see fit while expressing their awesomeness (-:
this in turn has the result of ogre having numerous projects, editors, tools and plugins...i guess that sometimes less is more...
i can recommend libGDX...its a great little/big/mature java engine for 2d/2.5d with great community and develpers...
recently i've also tried panda3d and was very much impressed with this hidden jewel( i call it panda2.1++ ) https://github.com/tobspr/RenderPipeline
hope you've had fun reading...(-:
