When I release it I plan to release a Japanese language version of the game as well.
Hey, how is the work going on?^^
Do you know when the update will be released?

slowly! I've hit some snags with blender, trying to export the new character model... it looks like i might have to completely redo all of the animations, so I'm procrastinating lately :P

Loved the game, almost completed it!
But I can't complete the second trick in "Extra Credits 2" the "Cody Half-in Half-out". Is it possible?

I set back the origianl game settings, and I still didn't get it in the beginning, but eventually I did... Thx!

But I'm still missing 1 stat point?

Do you have a cool demo movie in the Valhalla using the different bed?
And about that hall, it's quite processor intensive...??

yeah, there are 5 trampolines in there, which are very expensive in terms of CPU calculations... to keep everything stable I believe I had the physics updating at over 180 fps...

Hey, Freaq and me got a cool idea:
What about a doubeminitramp-mode in the next version of the game?^^

We thought it could look like this:
Build up speed by pressing the left/right arrow-key as fast as possible and jump (space) at a set point.
If you jumped to close to the tramp, the first skill will go over the spotter-zone (is it it's name in englich?^^), if you jumped to far away, you wont make it to this zone. The skills are performed like in the "real" game.
After landing, one could use the arrow keys for balancing to a save stand.
(When no skill is performed, the game should let you try a spotter-trick)

I think it would be a cool idea. So if it's not to much effort... Think of it,

Just completed this game today, it's awesome! Reminds me of my old gymnastics days, though I pretty much sucked at trampoline. This may sound odd, but I want more outfits and venues!! :P

I think I will go back and update Trampoline eventually with more content... I'm just too busy with other things to do it right now.

I also think making some other games using a similar mechanic would be pretty cool... I'm still working out which direction I want to go with it though.

Hello

Post by Freaq »

I really like the views in the game. But do you think it´s possible to create a view were you can look through the eyes of the jumper? That would be great because then you get the feeling of jumping on a real trampoline.

bye

I think this is a great game. Only downside is I can't get the Big Combos done! Well, im translating to Danish. You could maybe include that in the next update, if i'm fast enough? :)

Okay. Thank you for the honor. :P
Everything is done except the Tasksets_Master. :)
But i have a question.
Everything in the Layouts folder have to be translated to, right?

I've already started a german version, remember?
I could finish it and send it to you too^^

€: I've uploaded all changed files on the modding homepage, but there is no link:
http://drfenrir.dr.funpic.de/changed_files.zip
I've included a list of all changes to names.
Please look it through if you got time to do so and tell me if anything's missing.

Hey again!

Post by Freaq »

Hey Walaber! What do you say about my idea of a view like an ego view where you can look through the eyes of the jumping person? Is it possible to create a view like that?

Thx

it's not impossible, but I think the game would be very hard to play... also, charging up spin might be strange...

Hi, if you already looked at my changed files, I've uploaded another version. I've found some mistakes. It's still loadble at http://drfenrir.dr.funpic.de/changed_files.zip

I can't figure out why the tasksets_master.taskset wouldn't work, but I think the error occurs there, cause I tried after every edited story 'till task 7. 1-6 worked, 7 does not, the others I don't know.

OK, it's about time I went back to work on Trampoline a bit. I'll spend some time on it this weekend, and see if I can find your problem, and also try to get closer to releasing the updated version of the game.

Cool, I also included a file with a list of the german tasksets names and other important translations.

How long will it take to the release of the update, what do you think?

probably less than a week. this is not a major update, but it will do the following:

1. updated to latest Ogre
2. updated to 1.5 of CEGUI
3. reduced the size of many textures, they were way too big. this may help people that were having trouble running the game on older cards.
4. changed many textures to .dds format to reduce memory footprint.
5. replaced female model with better one.
6. possible a few new outfits for the characters.

if anyone has any last-minute, REASONABLE feature requests I'll think about implementing them.

... also the game has many internal fixes to make displaying other languages (unicode) work better. I'm working on a Japanese translation of the game myself, which I hope to release soon after the new version 1.1 is released. After that I hope to take your German translations, and make that into another language pack.

Whoohoo^^
"Less" than a week sounds great ;)

Will you release this as an update or as a new game?
I'd like to keep all versions simultaneously^^

I was planning on requiring that the previous version be uninstalled before installing the new one... why would you want to keep the old one?

Don't know^^
I think it's for real changes, like the female model...

Do it as you like, I'll just try to copy a version so maybe only one of them will be updated^^
