MOTORM4X - Game Released + Demo Available

Post by Edman »

Hi there!

My fellow Ogre users and developers, I´m one of the members of the newly formed
game development studio The Easy Company in Prague and I wish to anounce
another game running on this ingenious Ogre engine - MOTORM4X "All Terrain Drivin'".
It is our debute project which we are working on since July 2006. It is supposed
to be released in Q1 2008 for a friendly price. We are very happy and proud
to be part of the Ogre family and we hope that you will like our product as were
working hard to deliver a good looking and challenging game.

Wow, now that's very nice indeed. Do I detect a bit of pixel motion blur there? :)

[edit]In case there was any doubt, these are going straight into the Featured Projects area :) Looking forward to more!

Thanks

Thank you all for nice reactions! And about the blur, yes Sinbad it is
exactly as you see. We have full set of post-processing filters (optional)
including blur. I will be able to provide more screens next week (with
bigger portion of blur :D ), this time from the Arctic Circle location...

And thanks for placing us to the "Featured Projects" area! We appreciate that!

This looks outstanding.
This is the kind of projects Ogre needs to really kick ass.
Are you using SpeedTree integration with Ogre, or is is this some proprietary technology similar to ST you had developed.
Again the visuals are incredible, nothing shy of quake war or unreal visuals.

Thanks again!
To Jovani - What you see is real SpeedTree4 RT (we have a legal
license), it allows us to have more than 5.000 trees in one area. Some
areas does not have that much trees e.g. desert though.
To P - The source texture works pretty much like normal map, but the
technology is slightly different, we do not have a special name for it.
The shader is used on the whole car, not only on wheels. What
differs is reflection and amount of specular. There is also Fresnel
on the carpaint - modifications of the same are used for water.

Wow, shot number two looks like a render, and if it wasn't for the tree texture in front and you squinted a little - real life. ;)

I believe the nicest eye candy ever seen based on OGRE. How does it perform? Do you have any performance problems with the OGRE-core, or does it run as lubricated?

Kudos for the visuals :) And SpeedTree really seems to be worth the money.

Wow, really amazing screen shots! Are the tree shadows prebaked or dynamic?

That's amazing. I've seen racing games on the 'next-gen' consoles that don't look half that good.
