I had a bit crazy idea while reading the pages title "bending the laws of space and time".
I think it's hard to realize but it would something really new and when I look into your work so far ... I believe there is nothing you can't code
Edit:
moved to portalized forums

Thanks, guys. I added another screenshot to the top of the main post that may interest you guys even more, since it's graphical Light being transferred through the portals

Einstein would've enjoyed meeting you What will be next? Ray casting to query collisions so that you could kill yourself by shooting through a portal? It's quite hard to imagine anything new to add here

I added a quick video of the dynamic portal-through-portal lighting to the main post. For convenience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Da_r9O4lTfY

Dude, I can't express just how totally fabulous that looks. How do you do it - is it by extruding the portal silhouette in the direction of the light, and rendering that in the deferred lighting pass?nullsquared wrote:I added a quick video of the dynamic portal-through-portal lighting to the main post. Pretty ironic, considering shadow volumes are usually dismissed when deferred shading comes into the mix (well, this is more like light volumes rather than shadow volumes, but same idea )

Is there anything left your portals don't do?
