My partner and I (Lih Hern) have decided to work on a new racing game using ogre3d and hope to create a forum post to put up our work and updates in time to come. Anyways we've just started on the player craft high poly model.
Best regards,
Yap.

Thanks for the replies guys. and yeah nikki we've had some inspiration from the wipeout game series but will be making this racing game with a different twist of gameplay. Once the texturing for this craft is done we'll be extracting shader data like normal maps and stuff for the final in game model. Will post them up here for crits and comments. Cheers!
collectible? for what? just to make like a wallpaper? or do you mean to use in some other project (in other words, you are making a model to use in your game, but at the same time selling it to others). If the later, then it all depends upon the price and the quality of the mesh (not the visual, but how well it's optimized, since after all we are working real-time here).
Or do you mean making those plastic models, like toy soldiers? err, in this case it would depend upon the brand, I guess.
The mistery of Yoda's speech uncovered is:
Just an old Forth programmer Yoda was.
Hi Aquatix, I was referring to the toy soldier type collectible. But thats not important .We do however hope to release a playable demo within 4 months though since we're working part time on this project.
Mh yes 3D Printers are nice. A Friend of mine develops 3D Applications for 3D Printers. Sometimes in future, they want to develop a sharing system like open source but for 3d prints. If someone shares his 3d raw datas, he can have one midsizes model for free .
WOW. That is one awesome model! Nice job guys! It's about time we start seeing some some good looking next-gen ogre projects. I'm very keen to watch the progress of this game. Keep it up!
Wow, that's an amazing model. So much attention to detail . Nice work on the low poly version too - it looks just as good as the original, except a few parts around the edges (which is to be expected with a low-poly model).
