I participated in Ludum Dare #17 (a 48-hour game dev compo) this weekend. The theme was "islands".
I used Ogre (of course ), Bullet Physics and irrKlang and I made a sort of 3d platformer where you jump between procedurally placed islands at increasing speeds (it's simple, but hopefully addicting).
So far it sounds like it's a bit too difficult, so I'll have a revised copy with better balancing up at some point in the next couple days, but for 48 hours of work I'm happy.
For 48 hours work, that's damn impressive! You've got a product that looks great and is quite addicting. Kind of like Robot Unicorn Attack, in 3D and a less immasculating way.
I have to say, that might be the most fun I have had in a long time playing a video game lol. Coming from years of Quake playing it reminded me a lot of strafing which made it extremely fun. I think my map was 79800 and 41 islands or something, but I played it for a long time and had a blast.
