Hi!
i just managed to port Ogre to C64! It took some time but I finally managed to do it! Here is my proof:
It's pretty much WIP so there's no download now, stay tuned!
Enjoy!

It's pretty awesome that you found the time to port Ogre to the PS3 AND the C64. I didn't even know that the C64 even had a C++ compiler.
So you receive some Kudos.

I feel really stupid for saying "Wow" at your PS3 port now...
... because this is so much more awesome! WOW!

There is no doubt that's seriously cool, but I am posting this from my dish washing machine upside down whilst it is rinsing the whine glasses.

Is the compositor framework realized by a stabilized raster interrupt? If so, how many cycles does it use?

Exactly, if I can get Ogre to work on the Amiga. It stands to reason you can get it working on the Commodore 64.

You think your Commodore 64 is really neat-o. What kind of chip you got in there, a Dorito?
Sorry, I just had to. Very nice though. At this point, I'm not sure there's a practical application for it. But yes, very nice indeed.

I could rant for hours about Commodore USA.
I cannot believe Amiga Inc. sold the Amiga trademark to them.

Oh well, you can't please everyone.
Personally I think it's a great idea. I have an original Vic20 (broken) stored just for this purpose, I wanted to gut it and turn it into a PC. Looks like this saves me the trouble. Although the new C64 isn't the most powerful of beasts... I think it's more aimed as a media centre.

They probably would of been better off selling it as a case mod...
Even if it means mini atx, i'd consider buying it as a case, not as a full system...
I could see a $200 case out selling their $600 base model.

Thing is.
Commodore has a modern C-64 equivalent which uses modern hardware but it is compatible and doesn't require emulation, i.e. it isn't a PC in a C-64 shaped box.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-One
That C-64 is just using the Commodore brand name to get some quick money.
