A short story:
The gameplay happens on a planet VENUS, in a mysterious labs - PHOL_LABS build by goverment of Earth. You worked in them until a strange accident happens. You should escape from labs...

Please read readme file before playing, it contains very useful info.

Demo is working on a current version of Run3 Game Engine.

Please report any bugs, except bugs listed in readme file.

System Requirements:
Intel Dual Core 2.0+ GHZ (recommended modern)
NVidia or ATI ps_2_x syntax compatible(recommended NVidia, higher than 8800Gt)
1 gb RAM(recommended 2 gb)
200 mb of hard disk memory

Sorry for a high requiremets, our engine is very unoptimized. It has a very difficult solution for lighting.
Anyway, you can boost the game from low FPS to high(in readme).
On my friend computer(notebook made in 2009 year) it gives 35-40 FPS, but on my(NVidia 8400M) it gives 6-20 FPS.

The game supports stereo mode! You need an anaglyph glasses to play with it(very expensive for FPS)

We are proud to release our first production, it's a big honor for all of us.

But yet, it's difficult to make games with a team of 3 teammates. Also, 2 of them aren't able to often help me with development. So, often only I make the game. We want to make a Full game, but we prefer to make a good game on a good engine, and not just randomly placed models from 3rd party sites.

"The Long Way" is released after the long development. There was a long way of making this game, which started 8 years ago. Also, the game plot was invented exactly 9 years ago, 27th October 2008.

Prelude
You survived after the PHOL_LABS accident in PHOL_LABS undergrounds, but you are bleeding and soon you see a group of monsters, and a door near them. You blocked the door, and closed it. Unfortunately, you fell down in a shock. You get up and remember everything. You are lucky, the place you appeared is an emergency station. It has a teleportation complex in it! Now you should find a way to turn it on and get out of there.

Gameplay
The new features in this demo is a 3d-computer screens. Now it has an interface in it. I used a modification of buttonGUI.

Please read readme.txt for some quick info, or read the info about the previous part.
The story is connected to the first demo, but the game happens in different locations. In the first demo it's PHOL_LABS RTS Venus station, which is destroyed in the end of first demo. In this demo you can read some references to the first demo.

Now some info about the future of the project. I plan developing the full game. However, I'm entering the university this year, and it's difficult to make the games and to study at one time.
I'll try to make some quick sketches of maps.

The Long Way Beta

Hello,

The Long Way beta will be available for request since 27th of December 2015.

Beta version will include all maps of the so-called "first part", described there in the story. You can walk-through the game from the start to the credits.

The beta-testing will be open since all bugs and some parts of a gameplay will be fixed.
Updated Run3 Game Engine includes improved AI-engine with character and facial animation, new special effects,
inventory system, character animation scenarios and performance fixes.

The Long Way will be released on 27th October 2017.

The full game will include the first part of a tragic story of an ordinary man.

Story:

In a post-apocalyptic world you appear in a body of Mihail Antonov, an engineer. He lives in a

city, but works in a research institute in a suburban town. Every day he rides there on a train.
The game shows the last hours of his peace and quiet.

Developer team - SGL
Game is made on a custom-built Run3 game engine, based on Ogre3D.

Great! This is not indie, but proffesional quality game engine, and can make commercial games for game markets lofts and even produce machinema with facial animation quality! Possibly C-class cutsceness.

In the release you can see the first part of a game plot.

You will in the body of ordinary man of a post-apocalyptic world. In your last working day, you will see the pictures of your home, destroyed city, suburbans and the research enterprise, while the upper-goverment solves their problems in a bad way, which leads to a disaster.

One of a feature of the game is an ability to use in-game computers. Also, you have an inventory with your documents, money and other things.

There are several ways to get to the enterprise, and you can choose your own.

The character system can't be called "advanced" (because of a zero budgets for the game), but some characters play their role in a plot. Facial animation support makes their speech correct and connected with the sound.

The will be a sequel I the game. It will be announced.
