[GSoC 2011] Better Blender Exporter

I'm sure there are a number of users of Ogre who could probably use better export from Blender. I don't use the exporter myself currently so don't know the strengths and weaknesses of the existing exporter but it might be worth looking at.

Well, due to the breaking changes in the new Blender version, there is one (or even multiple?) new exporters on the way. There are some threads somewhere here. But nonetheless, that might be something that a GSoC could finish or drive further, but I really can't estimate the needed efforts and therefore cannot say if that would meet the goal of GSoC.

I am making (70%) a new exporter for blender 2.49 ... works great but is specific for my game ;P It exports to Lua ...

bumping of the thread because actual exporters are still not working as they .. could ? and that it would be nice if someone works on that !
