No, it's working perfectly, This doesn't trigger the spam filter because it's a normal post in it's eyes.

However, the moment the guy changes this post to include spammy links - then the post is triggered by the spam filter.

His location is Afghanistan, but his post came from a Ukrainian isp. :)

IP address is a known spam source.

There's way more spam that you can't see (I've deleted around 20-30 spammers in the last couple of days) because the forum catches them.
(We admins still have to wade through the crap though to make sure it isn't a false positive, but users only see a tiny amount of the total spam)

Isn't there a list out there with known spammer IP addresses you could add to the blacklist in its entirety?

+1 I think our spam system works reasonably well. As Kojack said, you only see a minor fraction of what is coming in. But it's is true that there is a huge increase over the last days. Perhaps we need to change the questions / captchas upon registration (not even sure what we are currently using...I think betajaen is the master here).

I think they may even be testing the spam filter.

Which no matter how hard they try, they won't break it. That regex isn't going to budge.

You're either testing something, or that regex just budged: http://ogre3d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=71627
BitBucket username changed to iboshkov (from MindCalamity)
Do you need help? What have you tried?

I could say why that one got through, but it might give a hint to the spammers. :)
Yep, a couple get past. But there's currently 34 in this board that you can't see (I just deleted 7, I'll do the rest after I have lunch).

Bah; 1 out of at least 8000 it has missed. Pretty good record so far.
