createSceneManager deprecated warning

Ogre Version: 1.11 :?:
Operating System: Windows 10 :?:
Render System:GL :?:

I have used createSceneManager in my code since the early 1.x days. More recently I have been getting a compiler warning that it is deprecated. Is there a replacement I should be using or a different way of doing things? Below is how I currently use it in my game.

    mSceneMgr = sharedPtr<Ogre::SceneManager>(RERoot->createSceneManager(Ogre::ST_GENERIC)); // creates the scene manager
