STL Viewer with PureBasic?

Post by GreyEnt » Sun Feb 03, 2019 10:31 am

Hello ogre. :)
About PureBasic I found to you.
My current project is a viewer for STL files with the OGRE engine.
But is still very crude alpha.
Currently I get an error message when it comes to more than 9720 Faces.
Is it possibly the limit of the Ogre?
May I bother you with the source code or the EXE?
It's about the PB 4.62 for Win.

When I checked the source code for that error, it seems it has to do with edge lists regarding shadows.

To get rid of that error, switch to texture shadows instead of stencil shadows, or disable shadows instead.
Stencil shadows are rarely used anymore anyway, so I would recommend you to use texture shadows as they can later be controlled easily through shaders (like soft and depth shadows for example).

Another person which has had the same issue here on the forums:

If you want complete control over the code, you can download the source at:
