Blender Exporter Animation Crash

Post by rpgplayerrobin »

Operating System: Windows 10

I recently got the Blender exporter working on the newest Blender version (4.0) from here: https://github.com/OGRECave/blender2ogre.
I downloaded the highest version number (0.8.4).
But the issue is that every time I try to export an animated object, it just crashes with this message:

I followed the guide at https://github.com/OGRECave/blender2ogr ... imation.md, but I instead just added more bones than 1.
Here is a very small test example file that shows the error when exporting:
https://imagindar.com/simpleboxanimation.blend

Have I done something wrong in Blender, or is this a bug? How can I fix this?

Ah...
So the fix it just to open "skeleton.py" and search for "use_inherit_scale" and replace them with "inherit_scale".

Hello, that fix is actually a workaround.

Because 'use_inherit_scale' is a boolean variable and 'inherit_scale' is a string, so replacing one for the other is invalid.

There is a more "proper" fix now in master.

Here is the pull-request: https://github.com/OGRECave/blender2ogre/pull/193
