What do you think it needs to support any DX SDK? If you mean Azathoth, and D3D7, that's out of Dagon anyway. Dagon supports DX SDK for the foreseeable future just fine, as is.
If you need to build against D3D7, don't use the latest DX SDK. If you don't need D3D7, take it out of your Ogre build.
sorry for my bad English,i'm talking about azathoth 1.0.7 and the DX deb 2006.
i just downloaded the DX feb 2006 and wonder if azathoth 1.0.7 compatible with it. if so, great ! but if not, it's also fine .
i only need this infomation to decide whether i should install the new DX SDK
If it works with Dec 2005 then it should work with Feb 2006. Try it and find out; DX SDK uninstalls/reinstalls easily (not like installing the DX runtime).
What specifically exists in Feb 2006 that you absolutely need?
Go ahead and give it a shot; it should work, and if it does, post that fact here and we'll all know. If not, it'll be a good place to start figuring out what is different.
I tried it last night and it works fine with all the Ogre demos. I built Ogre from source using the Feb 2006 DX headers and since I use MingW, the only other extra step I had to do was use reimp on some of the DX import libs.
