Shader library

Post by innovati »

Hey guys, would it be any use for us to start up an Open GL Shader repository with some advanced shaders?

I mean, it's great that we can all use thewm, but doens't it seem senseless and anti-open-source to make 50 people all try to blindly make their own versions of a soft-shadow shader, when a few could work on one that could be easily modified for all to use?

You could always post your example shaders on the wiki.

There are also tons of shader resources on the net already, you don't have to get your shaders from here. Even just downloading ATI's RenderMonkey or nVidia's FX Composer will give you a shedload of example shaders.
