I've never heard of it myself and Ogre doesn't support it but that doesn't mean that it couldn't be integrated. Perhaps someone else in the community has experience with it.

No, Ogre does not support HLA out of the box, because Ogre is just for rendering.

Yes, you can use HLA to control objects in Ogre. You have to integrate the CERTI RTI by yourself. Have a look at https://gitorious.org/openrti. You can use this without the bridge CERTI is using. I'm also interested in this topic.

Thanks Masterfalcon and Transporter,
i understood the concept told by Transporter, do we have write our own Wrapper library for CERTI or openRTI??? like how Ogre uses wrappers.

I have seen some of the Projects which are done using HLA and Ogre3d, have a look at "Virtual Ship"... i hope there may one or other way to this but we have crack it out, if you come to know how to use as out of the box then Pls suggest me...we are having requirement and i can't switch back to some other engine and change my whole code.

You can use the connection stuff from CERTI/openRTI. Just send your received data to Ogre to modify your scene. At this point you could think of switching to Ogre 2.0 because Ogre 2 is threadsafe.

Hi Transporter,

Thanks for the solution, i have seen your post in Forums which is very useful for newbies like me, i have downloaded all of your stuffs for VS2010 that's a great work of urs and i think Ogre 2.0 is a preview rite not even 1.9 is stable, is it k to test HLA using Ogre 2.0.

thanks for such a useful info.

You can safely use Ogre 2.0 for prototyping but expect some bugs here and there.

I've never combined HLA with Ogre but I use a few UDP data streams with Ogre 2.0 which is working well for the last five days now.
