Users should be able to download resources without logging in.

Only uploaders need to register.

Looking forward to seeing the Remository based repository.

Once this repository gets going, I think we should make a new sticky topic.
But this will do for now.

Yes, but a working OGRE repository will attract a community. :)

This looks like a good thing:

What you have is Mambo, that is: a Mambo fork. Well, since the Mambo team decided to abandon the project..

If you install the Remository thing, you are good to go.

You can install a PHPBB2 plugin later, if you like.

Use this:
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

If your problem is that Joomla changed the permissions on directories and files, either unset these options in admin mode - or use your ftp program to change permissions.

I have the counterstrike 1.6 shotgun model converted to the ogre "mesh" format along with animations, to put on your site.
Im not sure if the counter strike developers would appreciate their models being used though in Ogre projects. Maybe they wouldnt mind if proper credit was given and they werent sold. What do other people think about this ? Maybe this isnt the appropriate place to discuss it either.
