Squash and Stretch

Here's my quick test at doing squash and stretch in ogre. And quick question. How does everyone deal with squash and stretch in rigs? Mostly I'm just trying to see if there might be an easier, better solution out there, and trying to decide if I should try doing an in depth video explaining the process.

you might consider blend targets in combination with skeletal animation.

I would be interested in a how-to for squash and stretch animation. I would love to be able to mimic certain modifiers and volume stretching in Ogre!
