Hi,
I asked a favour to a friend of mine who knows about 3d studio max to make a humanoid model with skeleton a few days ago. It was done yesterday, but I can't convert it to ogre. I didn't know what object I should pick because there's so many (eg. arm, torso, bones, IK, etc). Which one should I pick? I know nothing about 3ds (I don't know even how to make primitives).
Thanks.
How to convert from 3ds

I originally wanted to learn from the video tutorial in the sticky post in this forum, but after 400 megs of download, the connection disconnected (WTF, that's a whole day of download you know!!
). So, I decided to ask around. Now, I am still downloading the other tutorial (the flash video tutorial). Hope it doesn't end up like before.
The result from searching in the forum didn't help much. I don't know even one word they said. I guess I have to study 3ds max some more before posting again. Hopefully the tutorial will be downloaded successfully.
Thanks.

Bad news. The model is not properly done (my friend's knowledge of 3ds was also not much). When I move the mesh, the bone didn't move accrodingly. When I rotate the body, the hand mesh stays and didn't transformd. And although the flash tutorial is useful for making a model from scratch, it didn't help much because there's no skeleton in the tutorial. Also, I don't know what to do with the model.
