This is very vaguely related to Ogre, and definitely not a question about the usage of Ogre.

So, for now, this topic will be moved to "General discussion", so that other moderators can consider if this deserves to be closed or not.

that first link (and the one from inside the wiki page as well) goes to www.store.ro, which is just one of those pages covered in google ads.

I haven't started to implement trees in my scene now and I'm still looking for some input what this concerns. So my question: Is it possible to move the leaves? And is it possible to change some values of a tree?
Thanks for your answer.

you can move the leaves anywhere you want, you have a total control upon them.. but i don't understand what you mean by
And is it possible to change some values of a tree?
what values? :?:

wow, thanks for your fast answer.
so I try to explain a little bit better:
The aim is to let move the trees in the wind, so I need control about the leaves. This is possible if I understand you right.
the second point is as following: if I have a couple of trees and all look the same, it's not what a real forrest is looks like, so if it's possible to change some branches or the height of trunk (values with defines a tree), we have something like speedtree.
hope you understand me better now ;-)

aah well of course, you do that from 3ds max because the trees you use are your creation.. so if you like lets say 6 types of trees to make a forest, just model the original tree in Max and derive them anytime.. you have absolute control...

the only challenging part will be wind if you'd like to implement.. the leaves you can move.. but the branches need a skeletal animation so the'll move..

it's up to you wheather you wan't static/dynamic trees

okey, thanks a lot. So I have a mesh in ogre and can do whatever ogre is able to. I have a lot to learn till I got everything :-)
I guess in this case it's easy to place other leaves to the tree in realtime but have to write my own methods.

no prob.. the tutorial simply shows you how to model you own good looking trees, and how to make the leaves speedtree-alike... that is breathtaking :))

have fun
