KartSim
Hi, I'm glad to finally be able to show a few screenshots of the project for which I am the lead programmer on.
http://www.KartSim.com
We go under 'Maschine Simulations' which consist of Cameron Bonde (me) and Zach Griffin.
We can't thank enough all the developers of the various libraries we use. The game wouldn't exist without them.
If you're interested in helping test later on you can either go to http://www.KartSim.com and add your email to the list or we'll be updating this thread.
There's more info at http://www.autosimsport.net (online mag), plus there's 2 links on the KartSim site pointing to an old detailed interview and a youtube video of a karting champion racing it at the eGames expo from a year ago.
Libs used are
- Ogre (of course) + OgreMax.com for scene loading/exporting
- PhysX (used directly and not for vehicles which are custom)
- Raknet for networking
- Caelum for skys/clouds
- Fann for neural net AI
- Navi for gui's
- OpenAL + OgreOggSound for sound
- OIS for input
- Libnoise for... noise
- Boost

Thanks. Demo won't be for a while But there will be some technical public tests before that. We'll update this thread for them as the Ogre crowd would be great for that.automatictie wrote:

heh, that's good that someone thinks they are rendered I guess, because they're notahmedismaiel wrote:the images are awesome
i hope the actual game look the same ,because those looks rendered images to me
That is playing on zac's laptop nvidia 8700 gt. I develop on a laptop ati 9600 64meg and it looks nearly as good. More small object culling, but about the same. Minimum spec will be around my ati basically.
