Though of course, that doesn't mean the game will EVER be released
enjoy

the unique thing about duke was the deathmatch. Since all the weapons were so varied you could actually play very different strategies. As long as they have the trip mines and the 'drop loads of pipe bombs and set them all off at once' thing I'll be happyKentamanos wrote:I don't know...back when I last played Duke Nukem, his language and dialog were amusing, and it was decent game.
"Shake it baby..." (while throwing money at strippers)
"I came here to kick a** and chew bubblegum, and I'm all out of bubblegum"
"I'm gonna rip off your head and..."
Maybe I'm old, but now I just don't think I'm all that excited about that kind of stuff. Unless there's some great story or new innovations, I'm not sure why I would be all that interested.

yes but how many of them are fun in the same way as duke was? I'm not just talking about the 'hilarious' one liners, but the cool combination of weapons, interesting strategies and cool environments while still being manically fun. It seems 99% of FPS take themselves way too seriously to be actually fun and I haven't seen any imaginative game play in any of them for years. I honestly can't remember the last time I had the same *type* of fun as duke and shadow warrior so I'm giving them the benefit for this one. Not even serious sam captured 'it'.sinbad wrote:These days we're swimming in FPS's and I'm not really sure Duke has that much to offer really....
