Personally, things are goign very well and that's all I can tell you.
Of course you do, you are a republican and as such you speak like typical out of touch republican.
It is the way McCain thinks as well, for example he thinks midle class start at a salary of 5 million dollar a year, and that people own houses like they are pairs of shoes.
Do you make 5 million at year, I certainly do not?

Mean while this happen just the pass week.

the pass few week these one happened
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/17/busin ... odayspaper

All bailed out with the American people tax money, while at the same time the goverment refused to grant any kind of relief to home owners who had seen how their properties value had fall well below the mortgage they owe on the same property.

Did you see what Alan Green Span said today on This Week. He said we are heading into a reception the like we’d never seen since the 1930. And he was one the ideologist of Bush free trade and market deregulation policies.
Just wait because Washington Mutual also announced another financial collapse, bye bye to 401k, and IRA.

Of course it is Republican vs Democrats because it is the govermnet that set long turn economic policies.
And the republican doctrine is that government is bad and everything should be privatized and controlled by unregulated and unrestrained free market, even the military.

Yeah, the government sponsored company operating under political pressure and with political apointees has failed big time and we are going to have to pay for it.
And you are suggesting this is an argument for more government control and oversight ?

What did I said that was offensive, or false?
He is saying the economic is in great shape. I just reinforced that it is in agreement with the way conservative thinks.

But if it offended you then I will not participate anymore.
Thank you

Yeah, of course, it's no fault of the borrower who took out that interest-only loan, on a property that was well beyond their means, because they simply assumed that its value would continue to rise while interest rates would stay the same or decrease.

That's called "gambling", by the way, and I don't see anyone crying over the losers at the craps tables in Vegas, insisting that the feds bail them out too...

It's also called "willful ignorance" and I don't really have any sympathy. I find it interesting how once everyone's bets failed, that suddenly it was called "predatory lending practice". Didn't seem to be seen that way when the Clinton administration lifted the financial regulations that made such practices legal...
Do you need help? What have you tried?

Be careful what you wish, I am going to remind you of the Poem.
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

Aren’t those the same small town American you are asking to vote for your team?
What happens to the American dream?
xavier wrote: Wow...so the Republican party is "coming for us"?
Maybe you can ask that questions to the same people you do not have sympathy for.
Oh I forgot, the republican philosophies are based on keeping the population ignorant, It is the only way small town America can accept prayers as the solution to all problems.
Or Perhaps you want to ask that question to the people of Detroy, who in the last of the humiliation, has been asked to pack the machinery of the factories they worked for decades for shipping to Canada, China and Mexico.
Or Maybe you want to ask that question the several the people captured at random and tortured in Guantanamo bay.
Or maybe you want to ask that question to Valery Plane, or Don Siegelman, Or the thousands of people this republican goverment is keeping under electronic surveillance.

Ha and BTW, not wonder Green Span, of all people, was so alarmed yesterday, "this is the worse ecomomic catastrofe he'd seen in his life time", he said. He did not mention that He and Phil Gramm are responsable for creating it.
Today Lehman Brothers, one of the more solid fortune 500 hundred companies, filed for bankrupt. That's more than 25000 people are out of work in New York alone.
But wait there is more, there rumor is that Meryl Lynch is going through a hostile takeover.

So maybe the economy is not as great as some people here are letting other people to believe, with the hope people forget that this is the result of the catastrophic
free marked deregulations policies embraced by the republicans, which is also the back bone of McCain ecomonic plan.

Today McCain is in Florida telling Floridians that the fundamentals of the economy are strong, he said, "what is needed is more deregulations".
He is telling Floridians that he will bring to Florida the same disastrous policies his party brought to the mine fields and manufacture plans of Detroit, that made them lose 400,000 jobs in the past 8 years.

Who said "the definition of a moron is one how do the same thing over and over again expecting different results".

Victor .. something for you ...

Frankly, it doesn't matter which political side is to blame, because unless the true cause is identified, we will just end up with another round of pointless regulations and .. 15 years from now will go thru the same painful process again.

The reality is, you have to assume some risk to make money, this applies to everything. Your risk however, should be something your comfortable with.

For example, if the current value is $1.00, and your comfortable with 10% risk you would sell if the value drops to $0.90

In this case you would loose 10% of your money. However, if the value goes up to $1.10 you would raise your lower limit to $1.00 and hold on a bit longer.

You still haven't made any money yet because it was $1.00 to start with, but you have eliminated some of the risk because if the value drops from $1.10 back to $1.00 you can sell, not loose any of your money and your still only assuming 10% risk.

If the value goes to $1.20 and you raise your limit to $1.10 you have now lowered your risk enough that you can be fairly sure you will make money.

You would keep doing this until your lower limit is hit.

The amount of risk you assume is directly related to:
- How much money you could loose
- How likely it is you will hit your lower limit
- How long you can ride the trend

That said, I don't think we have seen the bottom yet. But that's only an educated guess.
