User anamorgan looks like a spammer to me. Has a link in the signature which advertizes some non-programming related product and the posts are mostly non-sense.

I'm not sure whether this counts as spam according to the forum rules or not. But this guy has a new account and has only posted in his own thread that advertises some 2D game with no relation to Ogre: http://www.ogre3d.org/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... 697#313697

Good catch.
I'll get rid of it, and him.
<edit>
Well, I'll send him a PM first, since he posted another (though extremely vague) question.

There's no reason to get mad at me. I have been completely friendly to you, despite what I feel is your misuse of this forum.
The moderators of this board are constantly fighting spam. I am thankful for their efforts so I, like the pages of other people you can see in this thread, like to help by pointing their attention to posts that violate the forum rules.
I also noted that I'm not even certain whether what you did was ok or not, and referred someone with some authority to take a look. It's not up to me and I don't really care personally.
I'll also note that as of now you have 10 posts. Nine of which are either of your advertisement thread or referring to it.

I've taken Zombie's thread down for now, as I tend to agree with johnhpus on this. Off-topic doesn't mean that everyone can put everything there. Especially advertisement of programs/services not related to Ogre is not allowed. Even if it is free-top-play, there is money in that too, as can be seen in all the free-to-play orpg ads fed by google here.
Zombie, your personal attack didn't exactly help you either.

Isn't this what off topic is for, though?haffax wrote:Off-topic doesn't mean that everyone can put everything there.
Does this mean that people can only use the lounge if they are established 'residents'?
[edit]Take Gregor386, for example is he to be considered a spammer? The only post he has are in the lounge and are related to hosting providers and possibly pirating of windows XP.
To me he is more of a spammer, if anything. Zombie has contained all of his 'spamming' to one thread.[edit]

It means that people should use their common sense.lonewolff wrote:Does this mean that people can only use the lounge if they are established 'residents'?

Jacmoe beat me
I'll re-post my last edit.

But yes, I agree with you Jacmoe, it is about common sense.
Maybe we should have a prerequistie of 'x' (relevant Ogre) posts before you can create a thread in Lounge/Off Topic. Sounds fair to me.
Otherwise, this situation will arise many times.
