Hey guys,
just started learning 3ds max, It's pretty simple, but I have one problem:
I followed a tutorial about texture mapping, I tried it, I apply the uvw modifier to my editable mesh. Then I use gizmo to move the texture.
However:
Whenever I'm done with that and I want to select a different face from my model, the uv coördinates are reset!! When I go back to UVW mode it's okay again, but when I change faces then, the coordinates disappear again...
Anyone know how to 'apply changes' or something like that?

Re: 3DS Max Texture Mapping
I think you have to stack another modifier on top of this where you then perform the next mapping stage. But hey you will get the answer from the docs or other tutorials in the net... I´m pretty sure

No, I can't find it. I found out I have to collapse it but I have to add a new modifier again, that's really time-consuming...

Of course this way is time consuming, that's why you normally use UVW Unwrap if you want to map each face individually.

Re: 3DS Max Texture Mapping
I don't want to map each face individually, but the thing is I have some sort of 'lava stream' which I want to let go in the right direction. So when there are curves I have to texture map the whole stream, but this way it takes pretty long, and it isn't that convenient.
