Ogre in Sri Lanka Navy simulator

Post by Xavyiy »

Hi all!
Today I've been greatly surprised! Hydrax (So... Ogre!) has been used in a Sri Lanka Navy naval simulator:

I don't post that in the Showcase forum since I'm not the author, but maybe it's better than in the General forum, so feel free to move the thread(also, I can't provide the required screenshots).

A video shot is as good as a screen shot (well, maybe even better) - moved. :D
/* Less noise. More signal. */
Ogitor Scenebuilder - powered by Ogre, presented by Qt, fueled by Passion.
OgreAddons - the Ogre code suppository.

I will send you some videos of my Air Traffic Control Simulator too, but only only when you release new version of SkyX :)

ViduSayura is a Ship Simulator project for Sri Lanka Navy, developed by UCSC (University of Colombo School of Computing). It is a real-time perception enhanced virtual environment for maritime education which simulates six degrees of freedom ship motions (pitch, heave, roll, surge, sway, and yaw) with respect to ship’s physical/mechanical properties, user interactions, environmental conditions.

In this virtual environment it is possible to incorporate real world ships, geographical area (Navigational basins), several environmental conditions and wide range of visibility and illumination effects. This simulation system consists of reliable ship motion prediction system and perception enhanced immersive virtual environment with greater ecological validity. http://vidusayura.wordpress.com/

This is great!!!
But, I guess there should be some big hardware devices. Because I saw them in the navy exhibition 2010 :)
