Making a static build available?

I note that currently the only option for people who want to build OGRE applications staticly is to download and compile the source code yourself. Is there any possibility of making a static build package available?

Unlikely. The SDKs are primarily meant for beginners or those who want to try out Ogre. There are far too many build options that we could possibly suit everyone, so we just offer one SDK with the most common build options.
Anyone who needs customized builds should really get the source.
