Strange Google result related to Ogre forum

Post by Klaim »

I just did this search in google "Ogre coordinate system"

I got several good info but one is strange:

http://89.151.96.106/forums/viewtopic.p ... 15&start=0

The problem is, in fact, the IP being wrong (previous server?) but what I don't understand is that why is it presented by google? Only because the page still exists?

Someone must have linked to it directly at some point by IP, just ignore it. We can't control people doing this.

I've also found quite some results for the ogre forum on google that were linked to IP.
Too bad, really.

Yeah, this seems to persist. An obvious workaround is to just replace the IP with the domain, like this:
And since the whole forum was previously transfered you will have the exact same thread on the new server without the problem of that transfer message.

Also, to the OGRE server admins, if you guys still have access to the server on that IP just replace viewtopic.php with a redirect script that will redirect users to the current forum.
BitBucket username changed to iboshkov (from MindCalamity)
Do you need help? What have you tried?
