Ogre 2.0 Wiki?
This post could also be titled "What Happened to Ogre::Root::initializeCompositor()?".
Now that the 2.0 CTP has been officially released, should there be a place for 2.0 stuff on the wiki? I know there was talk of creating a separate section on the wiki for 2.0. Since people (such as myself) are starting to use 2.0 in development projects, it would make sense to gather up information on the most stable parts of the api. I know I've run into a couple of changes that I haven't seen documented anywhere, and even the existing porting manual and tutorial framework still reference Ogre::Root::initializeCompositor() which no longer seems to exist.
And yes, this does count as me volunteering to help with the work getting the info up on the wiki, at least for the next few weeks while I'm on break .

Yes I think its a good idea. I was going to start a post where people could add there porting notes/experiences to help others.
As for the tutorials they will be updated using the tiki wiki 'version' plugin, which allows you to display different information depending on what 'version' the user has selected

So, where is it written that '..2.0 CTP has been officially released'? I don't think it has. Nothing in News or other forums, neither front page.
Ah OK. Looks like it has:

Heh, I'm also curious.
I think the latest source is here:
https://bitbucket.org/dark_sylinc/ogre2 ... -AZDO-Hlms
But that didn't change recently.
Or here?
https://bitbucket.org/sinbad/ogre/commits/branch/v2-0
IMO it's all still very mysterious.

Re: Ogre 2.0 Wiki?
The later one is CTP. The former one is what will become the Final 2.0. The development of the v2-0-AZDO-Hlms went private. Once it goes public, you'll see a major stream of commits uploaded to that fork, only to later join the official repository at sinbad's repo.Crystal Hammer wrote:Heh, I'm also curious.

Re: Ogre 2.0 Wiki?
Thanks for info.
As for Wiki, there is a document in 2.0 branch, which describes new common things:
ogre/docs/2.0/Ogre 2.0 Porting Manual DRAFT.odt
https://bitbucket.org/sinbad/ogre/src/b ... 0/?at=v2-0
Looks updated.

Re: Ogre 2.0 Wiki?
I put the updated version of the porting guide on the wiki. How would one go about using that version plugin?

See an example here;excaliburHisSheath wrote:I put the updated version of the porting guide on the wiki. How would one go about using that version plugin?
http://www.ogre3d.org/tikiwiki/tiki-ind ... ual+Studio
or basic usage here;

Please note that the 'versions' plugin does not appear to work when previewing changes.

Re: Ogre 2.0 Wiki?
Hi all, is there any news on when the Ogre 2.0 AZDO branch will be made public ?
Really want to start using the PBS / HLMS and modifying our pipeline to use it.
Currently trying to get my head around the new compositor system. I really like the node based idea. ( reminds me of Shake ! )
