Working with submeshes

Post by tenkei »

Hey.

Say I have a bike model in a .mesh with the body and both wheels in submeshes.

I want to make the wheels turn. How would I do that?

As far as I know, the SubMesh class has no rotation method...

I would use one mesh for each wheel and one for the body.

Considering you bike model, you can also use texture scrolling effects, modifying scroll speed upon bike speed.

You'll miss "spring" properties to wheels if you don't separate meshes. ("amortisseurs" )
