Unhandled Exception raised - Humble Beginning

Post by sadds12 »

Hi I'm running MVCP .NET Version 7 on a Windows Home Edt.

Thanks to every1 on the forum I managed to Batch Build copy DLLS into the Samples\common\bin\Debug from STLport also I managed to get the HumbleBeginning to Build. :D
I thought I was a second away from the blank screen (which apparently appears) but it didnt work.

Just to let you know I have been following the tutorial and forum very closely. Repeatedly just to catch errors which I might have made.

I also made sure that I have OgreMain_d.dll so the Debug actually works.
But after building the humble beginnings it popped up a message saying

'Unhandled exception at 0x104b598c (OgreMain_d.dll) in HumbleBeginnings.exe: User breakpoint

and it opens the file ogrememorymanager.cpp for debugging

On continuing it, it gives another exception:

Unhandled exception at 0x77e6d756 in HumbleBeginnings.exe: Microsoft C++ exception: std::bad_alloc @0x0012f3fc

Does anyone know why I get this? I do apologies if there is anything i have missed out. I will be more than happy to give you any details you need regarding the same.

Does it work in release? Do the Ogre demos work?
Did you compile with the _STLP_DEBUG define?

No the demos dont wrk either. Actually I just realised that the reason for that could be not defining _STLP_DEBUG in every project. Ok I will do that now.

Thanks tanis
