CVS anonymous login

hey guys, im trying to login to cvs using: cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ogre login

but i get

cvs -d ":pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ogre login" login 
Logging in to :pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:2401:/cvsroot/ogre login
cvs [login aborted]: authorization failed: server cvs.sourceforge.net rejected access to /cvsroot/ogre login for user anonymous

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****

is there a problem with anonymous login? thanks

Not here, but you shouldn't use the quotes ("), and you have two times 'login' in your command. Try this instead:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ogre login

erm.. im using wincvs and entered this in the login settings > CVSROOT
:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/ogre login
without any quotes. it then pops-up a password request box which i simply pressed enter which brings me to that error. any ideas wats going on?

Then remove the 'login' from login settings > CVSROOT. The thing is, there should only be one 'login' at the end of the command.
