Loading Functions frome File

Post by Sindwiller »

Hello,

im a BIG C++ N00b, but i get really in in OGRE. The Concept is userfriendly, and its very easy to learn.

But can i load all Functions, for creating Scene, setting Geometry, setting SceneManager etc. from a File?

Unless you do it using some scripting language, no. Search around for "scripting language"s and you'll see what's for offer... LUA, Python, Ruby and Angelscript. And a few more which's name doesn't pop into my head right now.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

It's got Ogre written all over it. :)
Type the code in - compile - run - enjoy - search here for "gamestates"
/* Less noise. More signal. */
Ogitor Scenebuilder - powered by Ogre, presented by Qt, fueled by Passion.
OgreAddons - the Ogre code suppository.

Work some of the examples and try and get a basic understanding of how Ogre works and how to setup your own project (if you don't already have that). Then you can download the source from the wiki page and run it. The "Glueing it All Toghether" section has an example main.cpp file and then run it.

EDIT- jacmoe beet me to it.
