If I say I'm going with my AMD/ATI build instead of the Intel/nvidia build, will you two please knock it off?! 
I was able to get my AMD build down to $1000 (before OS, peripherals, and monitor), and my original questions were all adequately answered, so I think I'm done here. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
