Just checked the download page on the Blender site and 2.37 is out. The main page hasn't been updated but the download is there so get it while its hot.

One of the new features that I really like is the new transform tools with the transform widget and the improved proportional editing.

For all those wanabe Blender heads this new version is the one to check out.

Already wondered why it wasn't displayed on the site. The CVS had the tag already for quite some time. :)

Looks like a nice update, I really must try Blender again. Finally transform widgets - something I recognise ;)

Wicked. I've been compiling this from source for a little while, but I'll be jumping on this. :)

I hate the widgets... But the softbodies simply rock ;)

Just a quick question from someone not really knowing:

How compatible is the blender exporter with 2.37 :?:

Did you experience any problems? From the Python-API-Changelog I cannot spot any problems.

Blender 2.37 looks very great!!

Has the white circle (in the translate widget mode) any function??

Yes. When you leftclick-drag into this area (but not onto the blue spot) you can drag the object immediatly in all directions. This doesn't work this way when you click outside the circle, then the former 2.36 behavior kicks in(either click/move to drag or click longer than 0.5 seconds to open the context menu).

I have opened an old project from 2.36 and want to work with the new widgeds and buttons on the bottom of the 3d-view window of blender 2.37. How can I turn on the new features when I have opened an old project??

On the button panel of the 3d-view click on the Hand-Icon. This should open the widget selector sub-button-panel.
