hi,

i'm trying to build a flight simulator and would like a huge piece of terrain. the biggest i've found so far is puget and grand canyon. however, they textures are artifical and it's tough to get a nice piece of satellite imagery that is mapped to a dem.

does anyone know where i can find some nice big terrains with photo textures? if not, which is a good software to generate realistic terrain and skin?

i think falk is the person you should ask. he tested a lot of terrain-tools in the gamesacademy and knows everything about those progs
