Hello,

I am having some problems trying to split the animations using the Milkshape Exporter.

I have create a text file with the following content:

1,4,Walk
5,9,Run
10,18,Jump

I do not receiveany error message when I export it to OGRE Mesh/Skeleton.

When I open the .mesh file generated using the OgreMeshViewer I can see the model, but the problem is when I want to see the animations. I got 3 animations: Walk, Run and Jump, but clicking on them the program crahses.

Could anyone help me, please?.

It only works if I put everything together in the text file:

1,18,All

Any idea?.

I export the file with the Anim button NOT clicked.

I think it's a little bug somewhere in there. To solve, run through the animations, beginning to end, clicking 'Set Keyframe' on every keyframe (even though they're already set as keyframes).

Eventually all of them should work. I downloaded my version of the Milkshape exporter near the start of the year, and have downloaded a newer one (at least I think it's newer). Hopefully this version sorts out some of the problems, will update forum if it does.

I had the same kind of problems with the current exporter.

The problem is that the exporter saves empty keyframe tracks in the skeleton file.

Here is an example in XML :

Code: Select all

                <track bone="Joint9">
                    <keyframes />
                </track>

Then when Ogre goes through the animation it crashes because it cannot find any keyframe in the track.

Here is the method I used:
1- convert the .skeleton into XML using the command line tools
2- search for <keyframes />
3- remove the track that contains the empty keyframes
4- convert the XML back
