Maya export problems - "illegal" animations?

Post by justpixels »

Greetings folks,

Am having some problems exporting an animation from Maya 7 and wondered if someone might be able to help. For certain problematic Maya files with animation, the exporter creates the .mesh/.skeleton/.material files properly but the animation clip is not created (does not show up in CEGUI mesh viewer.)

The Maya animations that are causing problems have about 50 joints and keyframes on each frame. The animations run for 60 and 120 frames. Is there a maximum number of keyframes or joints allowed by the exporter? Is there a maximum object size (tri-count) allowed? More generally, are there "illegal" animations that can be created in Maya but not exported to Ogre?

Thanks in advance for your help. Any advice is appreciated.
