XSI Exporter Question

Are in XSI exporter options for the Vertex animations? Is there somewhere tutorial about Facial Animation for XSI? I mean the head model in the demo how the vertex animations applied?

help and hint are welcome :)

You'll need the Dagon version of the exporter (and OGRE), which you'll have to build yourself, to use vertex animations. The ReadMe that comes with it explains the issues - they are picked up from the Mixer.

I wpuld if i could :) but when i try to compile the xsi exporter i get this error

Code: Select all

 fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'xsi_application.h'
but the other 88 Projects just compiled fine..so what is my problem :( where can i find this includE?

Oh sry i just saw that i have not set XSISDK_ROOT to the XSI SDK path.

That's a Wix tool for building a setup file, you don't need it.

XSI comes with a shortcut which sets up all the required paths for you and starts a console, I normally make my own shortcut which uses that plus launches VC right afterwards so I can build the exporter for XSI 4.x and 5.x just by firing up different command shortcuts.

I already installed the XSI plugin and it work great :) another question is how to i get the Poser skelet into XSI or is this not possible or sholud i rig another skelet to the poser models after i redueced the polys?

no matter i have tried it today...:( Poser Models are very high poly models after i reduecd the polys it lokks ugly i will try to test low poly models..
