Just finished furnishing racket and ball for my tennis game.
It will be made with truevision3d for windows and OGRE for Linux

i tried truevision with c# (.net sdk 2.0 and #developIDE ) and was amazed with the speed.Its almost
10 times more than anything i saw in my life on windows.(Just compile and run say , "room movement"example
and you would agree)
OGRE runs fast on Linux and is oriented towards Linux too(apart from windows) , so OGRE for Linux.
Moreover C++ is already a standard and C# seems to be heading towards becoming industry standard and its good for me to have a
Graphics Library for both of the languages I am familiar with.
