Supposedly you are using the dotscene exporter for Ogre and the XML mesh exporter -
With a few fixes on the Python export script I am exporting .osm at the moment using Blender. After few tries and cofees what I use for proper position and rotation for all objects are few stable numbers in the scripts. Anyone that wishes "enlightment" concerning that matter feel free to contact me. The Y, Z inverse in axies and the rotation of meshes applying over the Scene's rotation are bit tricky to mess with.

Yes, I would definately wish enlightenment! Would you like to share your Blender script with the OGRE public?
