Nice work, betauser.

I see you deprecated the OGRE .fontdef support. Why not improve the main OGRE font rendering system instead of re-doing it? :)

I have rewritted font system, because:
- we need support many textures for one font
- we need unicode support
- own new .fontDefinition writted on c# (because we have strategy for new format -> using only our text format parser).
- we not need ttf support (big piece of code freetype and increased compilation time)

I.e. you can see, here big amount of changes.
Full rewriting is a best way i think.

NeoAxis Engine Version 0.56 has been released with many changes and bug fixes.

The most important features in this release are:
- New Scene Graph with octree and quadtree support with performance improvements.
- Fast automatic reconstruction of the Scene Graph contents for optimal performance.
- New implementation of both DirectInput and XInput adding support for joysticks, gamepads and steering wheels including Xbox360 gamepads.
- New Mono runtime support as an option to the regular .NET framework support.

NeoAxis Engine 0.57 Released!

The most important features in this release are:
- Loading and saving during simulation. Now you can create support for loading and saving world during simulation.
- Framework for windowed applications. Creating a windowed applications is now easier.
- Material LOD schemes.
- Support for dynamic map creation at runtime.
- OGRE 1.4.9.
- PhysX 2.8.1.
- Better Mono Runtime support.
- Many changes and bug fixes.

We glad to present a new website and new release of NeoAxis Engine.

The new user-friendly interface makes it easy to find all necessary information about the NeoAxis game engine. The site contains enhanced descriptions of the NeoAxis game engine, its features and our support options.
Have a closer look on the new lists of featured projects and 3rd party add-ons to learn more about the capabilities of this engine.

Updates of the NeoAxis Engine 0.58:
- Smooth depth shadows
- Support for convex hulls (makes modelling easier and gives game developers more options)
- Much better artwork for TankDemo and RTSDemo
- Support for swizzled DXT5 normal maps
- Increased performance
- Bug fixes

NeoAxis Engine 0.59 Released!

Updates to the NeoAxis 3D engine include:
- Hole support for terrain
- Car Physics from a third party addon
- Pre-loading of resources during map loading
- New and updated demo maps
- More source code access for licensees
- Various bug fixes

Are presented new featured projects based on the NeoAxis Engine:

A nearly released real-time strategy game called Sacraboar. Sacraboar is a real-time capture-the-flag strategy game. Release planned to Q1 2009.

A new student adventure and investigation game called Stunford.

A non-game project for warehouse stock visualization from Accellos. Accellos is a global provider of warehouse management, 3PL, logistics, transportation and mobile fleet management solutions.

NeoAxis Game Engine 0.8 has been released!

Major updates in NeoAxis Engine 0.8 include:
- Networking support.
- Seamless integration of networking support into the Entity System and game classes.
- Practically all game specific classes are adapted for networking support.
- Networking lobby features.
- Dedicated server.
- Networking deathmatch game example.
- Map Editor has been improved. Work with layers improved and searching features has been added.
- Optimizations for shader model 3.0.

Also conditions of licensing have changed:
- Licences now have free updates for one (or two for Source License) year and not limited to engine version.

List of new projects based on the engine has been extended.
As example, you can see new released game "Capoeira Legends: Path to Freedom" from Donsoft Entertainment.
This is a Brazil adventure/fighting game.

There is no question that it's possible to reverse engineer many software programs, but doing so is still a violation of most license agreements and using any of the source code in your own commercial product would be breaking the law.

The other thing is, many programmers are capable of writing there own engines but often it's a very time consuming task and it's cheaper and easier to purchase an existing engine. So it's not that the code behind the engine is a great big secret.. the fact is, you can't legally do anything with the code (apart from learn a few things :P)

NeoAxis Engine 0.82!

The next release of NeoAxis Engine, version 0.82 is a step to complete list of features. This version comes with new features, bug fixes, optimizations, solving all Windows Vista troubles, support of new CG 2.2 and OGRE 1.6.3.

It also implements such necessary things as:
- orthographic projection camera support;
- GUI now shows correctly on widescreen monitors;
- binary packaging is now very easy;
- fixed pipeline blending supports all layers of Heightmap Terrain;
- Light sources were optimized to achieve better performance - better culling for point and spot lights algorithms were implemented;
- OGRE 1.6.3 support.

There is one more thing to extend opportunities of NeoAxis Engine for game-developers: GUI is rendered by shaders now, so developers can implement various effects for better look and feel of user interface.

NeoAxis Game Engine in web browsers and first NeoAxis based game on Steam.

The next release of NeoAxis Engine, version 0.83 is a step to web integration. This version comes with web browser support. NeoAxis based application can be deployed to web browsers now. NeoAxis Engine supports all major browsers including FireFox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari.
