What another tools and libraries did you use?, how you create the terrain and what format did you use for the scene data? and what scene manager did you use?

Thanks

We're using PLSM2 with Splatting2 method for the terrain. Then we have our own map editor to add entities, water, vehicles, skyboxes, fog etc... We'll releae it with the first beta version by the end of September.

Then we're based on oFusion for scenes format but highly modified to add vehicles, physic objects(NxOgre), spawnpoints, and others scene options like weather, water, decals etc... our scene format lib will be released with the beta version. This is open because we have SHA1 encryption server side so that users can see the format and make their own maps but can't modify the playable maps otherwise the server will reject the user.

Finally, the heightmap is done via Photoshop by our designer. I know this is not the best method (the use of tools like freeworld is recommended) but he's used to do it this way.

here is the list of the library/tools we're using:

NxOgre, PLSM2, OgreAL, Rakknet, Speex (for the VOIP).

Hope this helps.
