getVisible() method for more classes

Post by Moohasha »

The API documents several classes that have setVisible() methods, but only MoveableObjects have a getVisible() method. Why the disconnect?

If you're talking about SceneNode, it's because the visibility isn't on the SceneNode, it's just a shortcut for calling it on all the attached objects.

If you mean something else, please be more specific.

I figured that was the case for SceneNodes, but why not also have a shortcut for calling getVisible() or all attached objectes? I understand you could have some that are visible and some that are not, so maybe return true iff all children are visible, else return false?

I think that's more confusing than not providing it at all.
