Just joined the working class

Post by quantum »

Life is so funny... after studying Delphi and C++ for quite a while I became a web programmer at a friend's BLOCKED company, not quite what I was looking for, but hey... a man got to live some way.
I had to quickly "learn" php and java but to be honest they're quite boring compared to C++.
The good part is that I make my own schedule and the fellows I work with are really nice.
All in all is not so bad as I taught.
I almost forgot... i managed to convince my friend to get into game design when we'll have enough financial resources  .

The company I'm working for started out with BLOCKED too. Flash games were following. Now we're working on the first "real" game: full price title, publisher funded, media coverage and all. Kinda cool. Maybe your company develops in the same way! ;)

Aye! The company is called KingArt and we're using Ogre to build a 2.5D adventure game. Due to NDAs I can't show anything interesting yet, though. We gotta wait for the publisher's marketing folks to announce the project and authorize screenshots etc... :(
